It is An Introduction to an Evidence-Based Intervention that is peer delivered as well as preserves the peer role. Behavioral activation (BA) is a behavioral intervention originally developed for depression, but has since been adapted for substance use BA aims to break the cycle between negative thoughts, behaviors and feelings through scheduling positively reinforcing activities into one’s schedule BA is generally straight-forward and brief BA has been found to be feasibly delivered by peers, leading to positive patient outcomes
